Peace Mission

HUJJI Ministries International stands for:
Peace in the presence of conflict;
Love in the presence of hatred;
Forgiveness in the presence of injury.
We respect the many names of God, the many paths to God and the many ways to worship God. There is only one power and presence of God and that God loves each one of us equally.
Our position at HUJJI Ministries International is to urge all nations, their leaders and people to turn to God, by whatever name, for guidance during these challenging times and pursue peace, not war - this is what honors the God of all our faith traditions.

HUJJI Ministries International stands for peace in our lifetime.
A very remarkable Peace Commission has been created in the City of Sialkot which is formed by the Punjab Police and Provincial Government of Pakistan. Its purpose is to collectively work toward promoting, supporting and enforcing peace efforts among the diverse religious, ethnic, cultural, etc., groups in the city. Hujji Ministries International is represented on this Peace Commission in the person of Anwar Younas who has been recognized as a leader of influence and integrity. Anwar has been selected to serve on the executive steering committee of approximately 30 leaders; there are 100+ members in this Peace Commission, and with the exception of a Hindu man and Anwar, all are Muslims, including a dozen Mullahs and Imams.
One extraordinary outcome of Anwar’s involvement with this Peace Commission has been the invitation to several of Anwar’s international Christian friends to attend  official meetings. This Peace Commission represents approximately 0.5 million people and provides a forum where Mullahs and Christian pastors can work together in a spirit of unity.

 We acknowledge that the culture of peace begins in our own hearts, spreads to our own households and then our communities before it can become an entrenched fact of the larger society’s life. Peace is the spiritual unity bridging diversity and unifying all of creation. In a world that works for everyone, each of us is an instrument of peace.

We believe that each person can move the world in the direction of peace through their daily non-violent choice and action. With courage and hope, we can all contribute to the work of cultivating a culture of peace. Everyone ... every woman, every man... all people of all faiths and all races must find a way to embrace each other's differences and search for compromise and a way to co-exist. The alternative is an unthinkable future for our children. The dignity of all life must be respected from conception to natural death.

May we join our hearts with people worldwide, in whose faith and practice is embedded a parallel commitment to peace.
